Coffee to the Rescue

High Blood Sugar Coffee Organic Half and Half Insulin Metformin
You know, I'm a very fit, health conscious, healthy woman, and I'm an integrated health coach, and all of a sudden I get a phone call from my doctor and she said, your blood sugar is out of control and I'm.. I'm a skinny woman and I eat really well. And I said, What? and she said, we're gonna have to put you on insulin. And I just started sobbing and I said, Oh my God, please, no, no, no, no. She said, your numbers are off the chart. She said, in the past six months, they just skyrocketed. And I said, let me try to do something, before we put me on insulin or Metformin or anything else. And I did all my, you know, crazy research. I went back to all my colleagues. I had already graduated from nutrition school, and a lot of people were saying, just go on the insulin just, you know, maintain it maintain....
But I wanted, you know, if I have to go kicking and screaming, that's what I'll do. And wasn't even thinking about this, but I had been living part time in New York, and it was during the winter. So it was freezing, as an experiment. I'd given up coffee. I just wanted to see if I could do it. And so I'd given up coffee and I was making unsweetened cocoa at home a lot, and it was great. It was just unsweetened cocoa with unsweetened vanilla almond, or cashew milk, and I would use some coconut oil or coconut, monta and spices. And it was delicious. And I could never order that out anywhere. Everybody had sweetened cocoa. Sweeten, Sweeten, Sweeten. So I'm in New York City. It's freezing. I would run into coffee shops running around and I would try to, you know, order an unsweetened cocoa. And they looked at me like I was on crack, and I really wanted something hot. I'm not a tea person, so I started with just a little bit of espresso again. And I was like, You know what? I really, really love coffee. I just love it. I love everything about it. And I started drinking a cup a day again, in the morning, and all of a sudden we redid my blood work and my blood sugar had gone dramatically down again.
And my doctor called, she said. I don't know what you're doing, but keep doing it because she said, your numbers have plummeted. She said you're doing great. And I said.. I couldn't think of what I was doing. And she said, What are you doing differently? And I said nothing. I'm still eating the same thing and still exercising, and then all of a sudden I said, Oh my God, wait a minute. I started drinking coffee again in the morning, and I don't put sugar or anything. I just put a little bit of organic half and half. And she said, Well, keep doing it and that's what prevented me from having to go on insulin or Metformin. Coffee gets a bad rap. Real pure coffee is actually really good for you, not the sugar kind. Just real coffee has been known to help with blood sugar.
